Exciting new exhibition showcases works by renowned South African artist Brahm van Zyl.
The Gallery at Grande Provence is proud to present new works by Brahm van Zyl in an exhibition to be opened by equally celebrated artist Clare Menck on Sunday, 14 September at 11h00. This will run until Thursday, 8 September 2011.
The works reference 'Habitat' as site specific geographical areas inhabited by humans, such as large scale cities, placed in direct contrast to the landscapes and architecture of the Karoo. Referencing the communities that occupy these historical sites creates another socio-political dimensions to the work.
Also showing in 'The Cathedral' and 'The Project Room' during this time are miniature, through to large scale, landscape paintings by Donna McKellar.
