The fourth annual Christmas exhibition titled ANGELS 2009 is presented in celebration of art at Grande Provence Gallery in culmination of a splendid year. The exhibition opens on 15 November 2009 and will be representing well-known artists as well as emerging talent. Some of the participating artists are: Jane Eppel, Angus Taylor, Strijdom van der Merwe, Hannes Meiring, Shany van den Berg, Ralph Johnson, Hannes van Zyl and Uwe Pfaff.

The Gallery will be showing paintings, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery. The shop on the Grande Provence Estate makes available some of our most favourite things from the local design, art and craft scene. The shop boasts a combination of talents in the industry with a selection of gifts and interior décor.

29 November: ANGELS4GOOD 2009

Grande Provence is privileged and honoured to be hosting two of Yanni Posnakoff’s ‘ANGELS4GOOD’ projects in South Africa as part of this acclaimed and renowned Greek artist’s international venture. Posnakoff, who is residing in Athens, has devoted the next 20 years of his life to create 1,000,000 (one million) original “Angels of Agape” illustrations. These are part of his personal crusade to spread unconditional love, forgiving, reconciling, healing, abundance and joy amongst the community.

‘ANGELS4GOOD’ is not a charity nor part of a charity organization; it is a vehicle which we can use to spread the message of unconditional love and well-being; allowing us as a collective power of human beings to financially contribute to help others that are in need.

On Thursday 26 November 2009 Yanni Posnakoff will be conducting a workshop for thirty (30) underprivileged children in The Gallery at Grande Provence and each child will at the end of the day receive an original, signed and numbered Posnakoff illustration to treasure.

On Sunday 29 November The Gallery at Grande Provence will be showcasing an exhibition of works by 30 selected, contemporary South African Artists. 10% of sales on the 29th and all monies raised from sales of the children’s artworks @ R250 each will go towards M.A.D. (Make A Difference Foundation) which is spear-headed by Francois Pienaar, the ex- South African Springbok Rugby Captain.
