Cultral Contrasts

This solo exhibioin presents the work of well-known Pretoria-based artist, Willie van Rensberg.

The title of the show makes referece to the contrasts of historical African traditions and contemporary African society. Inspired by these elements, the artist applies masks and symbols in his work with bold design and colour, in order to establish a contemporary approach to the preservation of the symbilic references and heritage of African folklore.
