The Gallery at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, is proud to present an exhibition titled SOIL arranged by JP Meyer on Sunday 28 April 2013, at 11h00 until Wednesday, 12 June 2013.
This exhibition incorporates the contributions of acclaimed artist JP Meyer, installation artist and environmental activist Katie Barnard du Toit, ceramic artist Anthony Shapiro and photographer Gregor Röhrig.
Concurrent to ‘SOIL’ a group show will be presented in The Cathedral titled ‘(un-)bound’ in support of the Franschhoek Literary Festival in May. The exhibition will include work by Paula van Coller Louw, Ruhan Janse van Vuuren, Kelly John Gough, Frans Smit, David Brits, Frank Van Reenen and Uwe Pfaff among others and a collection of portraits titled ‘Legacy’ by Marc Alexander.
An opening statement for the exhibition ‘SOIL’ will be delivered by Dr. Elizabeth Gunter from Stellenbosch University at 11h30 on Sunday 28 April 2013.
On Saturday Evening 27 April 2013 at 19h00 Chef Darren Badenhorst will prepare a Three Course Dinner enthused by the theme and including a glass of Grande Provence Wine at R370 per person.
