Jacques de Jager, the renowned Executive Chef of Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, will present a selection of his award-winning cuisine at the “Magic of Bubbles” Cap Classique and Champagne Festival. Normally to be found heading the team at The Restaurant, Grande Provence, Jacques will offer visitors decadent samplings from his latest seasonal menus at the Huguenot Monument from 4-6 December 2009.
The annual “Magic of Bubbles” festival is as popular as ever and this year promises many exceptional food and wine experience for visitors. The festival opens Friday 4 December, 18h00 – 21h00, Saturday and Sunday 12h00 – 18h00.
Jacques has once again created mouth-watering delicacies such as Franschhoek salmon trout blinis with crème fraîche as well as a cured beef open sandwich on rye with rocket to accompany Franschhoek’s finest Cap Classique to be presented throughout the festival.
Live music, provided by well-known artists such as Jared, Gerard (previously a member of Delta Blues), D7 Fresh Acapella and many more musicians, will set the tone, and local winemakers will be on hand to chat about the making of Cap Classique wines in the Franschhoek valley.
