December 2007 - Home of the award-winning Grande Provence and Angels Tears wines, Grande Provence Estate in Franschhoek, invites guests to celebrate in style this festive season with designer signature menus created by Executive Chef, Peter Tempelhoff - holder of the title ‘2007 Sunday Times Chef of the Year’.
Enjoy Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas lunch at The Restaurant around a traditional Christmas tree with a five course set menu at R475 per person (includes a drink on arrival). A signature dish from the special Christmas set menu is the oven roasted free range turkey breast and braised thigh with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy topped with a cranberry sauce in true Tempelhoff style.
The New Years Eve dinner is a seven course set menu at R1150 per person which includes a welcome drink on arrival and a glass of Grande Provence or Angels Tears wine, specially paired with each course.
On arrival, guests will be entertained by the Ubuntu children’s choir who will charm the audience with their youthful spirit and present a vibrant, colourful show of traditional dancing and singing to celebrate the New Year. Celebrated musician, Gordon MacKay is on “duty” for the rest of the evening and will ease guests into the New Year’s party mood. His musical repertoire includes ballads, rock, reggae and a wide variety of foot tapping favourites from the 50’s and 60’s onwards.
