The "Big 5" luncheon, held annually in order to create awareness and funds for The Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Africa (MSSA), Western Cape, will take place at the 5-star Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek on Sunday 2 May 2010.

The "Big 5" 2010 event will feature 5 leading South African Chefs – led by Executive Chef Darren Roberts from The Restaurant at Grande Provence. These top chefs will present a fabulous 5-course gourmet meal, complemented by the award-winning Grande Provence wines. Live entertainment will take place throughout the day and 5 spectacular items will be auctioned.

MS Big 5 tickets can be purchased from the Estate and regular updates will be made available on the website. Due to the generosity of all involved the entire proceeds from the sale of the tickets goes directly to MSSA. GRANDE PROVENCE "BIG 5" LUNCHEON FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS The MS Society of South Africa benefited the first year in 2007 from this initiative, by a donation of R36,440. This same fund raising concept went on to create R60,250.00 in 2008 and most recently in 2009 a staggering R98,000.00.

The Grande Provence Multiple Sclerosis fund raiser was the brainchild of owners of Grande Provence and Shani Marais, wife of resident award-winning winemaker Jaco Marais.

The "Big 5" luncheon concept combines Grande Provence Estate's world-class venue, wines, cuisine and organisational skills with their ability and desire to make a significant difference to those in need within our communities in South Africa.
