Covering all the bases to comfort, nourish and indulge, this is no ordinary high tea. Putting his modern South African spin on savoury sandwiches and sliders, Executive Chef Guy Bennett has created some exciting flavour combinations. Think roasted red pepper, chevin mousse and aubergine & harissa; pulled slow-cooked beef short rib; smoked Franschhoek trout with dill pickles and lemon labneh; and aged Huguenot cheddar with basil & semi-dried tomato pesto.
Nourishing greens include a luxurious garden root vegetable slaw with toasted almonds and fynbos vinaigrette; and a baby cos and smoked chicken salad spruced up with Chef Guy’s special buttermilk dressing.
The assortment of indulgent sweet treats includes salted caramel éclairs, cranberry & walnut nougat; Valrhona chocolate brownies; and carrot & ginger cupcakes.
