Celebrate Christmas in the Winelands at Grande Provence

Eat, drink and be merry with a 6-course feast of Chef Guy Bennett’s modern South African flavours. Cooked to perfection using local ingredients, this is a yuletide spread fit for a king. Moreish canapés are followed by Chef Guy’s caprese twist of heirloom tomatoes, roasted pinenut, basil, mozzarella and kalamata olives. For his play on seafood, Chef Guy has combined grilled freshwater crayfish and saltwater prawn with a smoked linefish croquette and oriental touches of pak choi and beansprout salad, edamame and a splash of nuoc cham.
The main course is a satisfying and flavourful, slow cooked beef shortrib served with truffle braaied cauliflower, herb gnocchi and kimchi. Next up is a journey of discovery into local artisanal cheeses crowned with roasted nuts, olives, crispies and preserves to prepare the palate for the sweet treat to follow. Dessert is a delicate 70% Valrhona éclair served with stone fruit ice-cream, tonka bean namelaka and summer berries.
The special Christmas menu at R1 650 per person excluding drinks and gratuity, is available from Christmas Eve dinner, until Family Day on 26 December for lunch and dinner.
